Meet Barbara, Owner of Barb'sHeartrokes

My husband was deployed to the Middle East soon after we were married so I decided this was a great time to try my hand at painting and have LOVED every minute since…that was 18 years ago.
My art work is hand painted on fiberglass black screening material, so it adds an interesting texture to the art work. I love to paint whimsical, folk art and primitive pieces adding my own style to the work. The art work is then framed in handmade wood frames made from old barns and fences or recycled natural wood from lumber yards.

I was born and raised in Illinois and have lived for the past year in Arizona. I moved for change and new opportunities. I attended Ball State University where I majored in photography. Everything around me is inspiring and I photograph things that I like in the hope that someone else will like it as well.
